Martini glass olive lamp
It wouldn’t be a cool girl interior design list without this lamp. As seen all over social media, this vintage piece is highly sought after for its playful aesthetic.
Though it might be hard to find this exact lamp, it brings up an important point. Lighting can be fun! You shouldn’t settle for a boring lamp when you can have a cocktail glass lighting your living room. But really, anything is better than turning on the big light.

Anthropologie icon glasses
These glasses feature unique designs and vibrant colors in a vintage-style glass. They are whimsical and a bit bohemian. These glasses are good for iced lattes, cocktails, or just plain water. Finish with a glass straw, and your beverage will feel professional.
With seasonally themed collections, you can have pumpkins for the fall and cherries for the summer. These also make a great white elephant gift; who wouldn’t want cute, new glasses?
Vintage mirrors
Finding a vintage mirror will be a labor of love. Prepare to scour antique shops, flea markets, and thrift stores to find the perfect one. You may even get lucky at a neighborhood garage sale!
Vintage mirrors are big and heavy, often lined with brass embellishments. They add so much more than a simple Ikea mirror. Plus, shopping vintage is good for the planet!
These are the hardest to find, so if you’re really in a pinch, retailers sell vintage-style mirrors that look similar. I like this one from Pottery Barn.
Unique pillows
Pillows come in all shapes and sizes, so think outside the box, err, square. Fun and funky pillows liven up a room by mixing and matching textiles or colors. Pillows are a must-have on a couch. Plus, they are functional!
This pillow from World Market is shaped like a tin of sardines. This Anthropologie pillow is shaped like a candy cane! I think the best use of unique pillows is spelling out a word. Your name, your city, even just your favorite number, will add a personal touch.

Temporary wallpaper
If you rent and want to update a room, peel-and-stick wallpaper is a great option! It can refresh a living space without the commitment of traditional wallpaper. They are available in a wide range of colors and patterns, meaning your walls can be personalized to your taste.
Temporary wallpaper can even be used as a kitchen backsplash or an accent wall. It doesn’t need to cover a whole room to make a big impact.
Unless you’re a minimalist, it never hurts to add to a room. Adding a burst of color can be done with pillows or wallpaper, and everyone will be eager to find out where you found that vintage mirror. By incorporating these simple features, your house will look like a cool girl lives there in no time.
